Saturday saw excellent 2nd Round away wins against strong opponents for Stowmarket Town (a last gasp winner from Matt Blake at Colney Heath), Stanway Rovers (impressive 3-1 winners at Deeping Rangers) and FC Clacton (who had a 4-3 success in a thriller at Saffron Walden Town).

Woodbridge Town and Kirkley & Pakefield are also through after beating fellow Thurlow Nunn League opponents while the winners of tomorrow’s White Ensign v. Wroxham tie will also be in Monday’s Third Round draw.

The top 5 in the Premier Division were all in FA Vase action but in form Long Melford are now up to sixth after a Jamie Griffiths hat trick helped them to a 6-1 win over Hadleigh United – Long Melford’s sixth win in a row.

There are new leaders in First Division South after Little Oakley overcame atrocious conditions to win 4-1 at bottom side Fire United. Previous leaders Lopes Tavares were held 1-1 at Harwich & Parkeston, while Benfleet are up to third following their 6-1 win against Brightlingsea Regent Reserves. Next Saturday Benfleet visit 4th placed Wivenhoe Town.

Norfolk duo Downham Town and Mulbarton Wanderers have opened up a bit of a gap at the top of First Division North after important wins this afternoon. Downham Town beat Norwich CBS 2-0 with a goal in each half while Mulbarton Wanderers came from 2-0 down to score 4 goals in the final half hour for a 4-2 win over March Town United.
