With Lopes Tavares inactive Little Oakley took the opportunity to move to the top of First Division South with a 3-1 victory in their derby match at Harwich & Parkeston. There was a crowd of 620 at the Royal Oak to witness a long range effort from Ryan McGibbon fire the home side into an early lead before a sending off late in the first half left it difficult for 10-man Harwich to hold on to their lead, and Greg Rodger, Harry Mann and Danny Garrad scored for Little Oakley.

Frenford had gone third after a last gasp victory over Newbury Forest on Friday evening and White Ensign‘s 4-2 win at Burnham Ramblers on Saturday moved them up to the fourth promotion place. A special mention for Hackney Wick who came from 2-0 down to beat Wivenhoe Town 4-2.

Mulbarton Rovers took over at the top of First Division North with a second half Ben Jones goal enough to give them victory over promotion rivals Diss Town. Previous leaders Downham Town crashed 3-0 at home to March Town United. Lakenheath had gone third on Friday evening after overturning a 2-0 deficit at Haverhill Borough to win 3-2.

In the clash of the bottom two King‘s Lynn Town Reserves just came out on top with a very late goal in a 3-2 success over Wisbech St Mary. The two teams meet again next Saturday. Two other teams near the bottom of First Division North served up a goal feast on Friday evening with Danny Smith and Joe Berry both scoring hat tricks in Framlingham Town‘s 8-2 win over Felixstowe & Walton United Reserves.

The big game in the Premier Division saw Newmarket Town retain third place with a 2-0 win at fourth placed Long Melford. Leaders Stowmarket Town had their home game with Walsham Le Willows called off just before kick off because of an unplayable surface.
