Three Thurlow Nunn League sides were successful in their Round 3 ties on Saturday and all have been drawn at home in Round 4.
Stowmarket Town beat fellow Thurlow Nunn League side Norwich CBS 2-0 and have now been drawn to play Combined Counties League side Cobham, 5-0 winners at Clapton on Saturday.
Mulbarton Wanderers scored a late winner against Ampthill Town in Round 3 and now entertain Hounslow based Hanworth Villa, also from the Combined Counties League. Hanworth Villa are unbeaten in league matches and beat Littlehampton via a penalty shoot out in Round 3 on Saturday.
Fakenham Town also needed a penalty shoot out to progress, knocking out Milton Keynes Irish. Their next opponents at Clipbush Park will be the winners of the Deal Town v. Binfield tie, scheduled for Sunday 27th December. Deal are members of the South Counties East League, while Berkshire based Binfield are unbeaten in the Hellenic League.
The Round 4 ties are scheduled for Saturday 9th January but the FA have added the following “Following the most recent Government announcement regarding COVID-19 restrictions in Tier 4 areas, the Buildbase FA Vase is currently under review.” It is believed that all of the potential opponents for Thurlow Nunn League sides are in Tier 4 areas.
