The draw for the Second Round Proper of the FA Vase has handed challenging ties to some of the Thurlow Nunn League teams .

League leaders Stowmarket Town have been drawn away to Colney Heath from the Spartan South Midlands League. Colney Heath have a 100% record in their league and knocked Long Melford and Haverhill Rovers out of this season’s FA Cup. Coggeshall United must travel to another side doing well in the Spartan South Midlands League – second placed Newport Pagnell Town.

FC Clacton travel to old foes Saffron Walden Town, unbeaten in the Essex Senior League, while Mildenhall Town will be away to another side from the Essex Senior League, Stansted. Stanway Rovers have been drawn away to Deeping Rangers, who are going well in the United Counties League.

The only Thurlow Nunn League side drawn at home to a team from outside the league are First Division Frenford. Their opponents will be Lancing from the Southern Combination, a team that have lost just once in the league.

There are three all- Thurlow Nunn League ties – Norwich United vs. Kirkley & Pakefield, White Ensign vs. Wroxham and Woodbridge Town vs. Godmanchester Rovers.

Matches are scheduled for Saturday 2nd November, although the tie at White Ensign will be played on Sunday 3rd November.
