Tough FA Cup Draw for Thurlow Nunn League Teams

The eight Thurlow Nunn League teams remaining in the FA Cup have managed to avoid each other in the draw for the First Qualifying Round, but it is unlikely that any of them will be favourites to win their ties when they kick off on Tuesday 22nd September.

FC Clacton, Long Melford, Brantham Athletic and Wroxham all face Step 3 sides. Wroxham’s opponents, Royston Town, knocked out Newmarket Town 6-0 on Saturday.

Stowmarket Town, Haverhill Rovers and Ely City have all been drawn against Step 4 opposition. Haverhill Rovers entertain Maldon & Tiptree, who had a great cup run last season, including eliminating Leyton Orient.

Mildenhall Town are the only one of our clubs to meet a Step 5 side, but they are away from home – at Spartan South Midlands Leighton Town.
