All Settled Now on Last Day of League Season

The 2018/19 League Season is now all over and final positions settled.

Swaffham Town won 3-0 at Felixstowe & Walton United Reserves to go top of the First Division North for the first time this season – the only time that really matters. They will be playing Step 5 football again next season. Harleston Town, who lifted the First Division KO Cup on Friday evening after swamping Holland 6-0, finish runners-up.

It was Great Yarmouth Town who unfortunately filled the second relegation spot from the Premier Division and will travel in the opposite direction to Swaffham. They drew 1-1 at Godmanchester Rovers but it wasn’t enough, particularly with rivals Long Melford winning 3-1 at Thetford Town.

Hashtag United were presented with the First Division South trophy following their goalless draw with Coggeshall United. The point secured the Weavers runners-up spot after close rivals Halstead Town crashed 4-1 at home to Wormley Rovers in front of a crowd of 342.

Woodbridge Town were presented with the Premier Division Runners-up Shield during half time of the First Division KO Cup Final on Friday evening and showed if off at Ely City on Saturday afternoon
